Senior Men

The Termon senior men bounced back to winning ways in Division 2 on Saturday evening at the Burn Road with a 3-7 to 0-9 win over Naomh Muire. The foundation of the victory was in the first half as they hit the visitors with three goals. The opening goal came with just two minutes on the clock from Enda McCormick who contributed a 1-3 total for the evening. Jack Alcorn bagged the other two goals and ended the game with 2-2. Men B

The reserve men also put the disappointment of the previous outing behind them as the won 5-9 to 0-4 against Naomh Muire. The lively Ciaran Cassidy scored 2-1. JR McDaid, Marty Steel and John James Sweeney netted the other goals. Paul Mallons hit 0-3  and Oisin Harkin scored 0-2. Luke McGarvey, Ben Harkin and Mark Gallagher were also on the scoresheet.

Senior Ladies

The senior ladies continued their winning form by beating Naomh Conaill 4-11 to 2-9. Sophie Curran, Geraldine McLaughlin, Cayla McFadden, Roisin McCafferty and Roisin Friel all contributed to the scoreboard.The senior ladies are currently preparing for the county Gaeltacht finals on the May Bank Holiday weekend in Cloughaneely. If they win there, they will progress to the All Ireland’s in Cork on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

Minor Board

The minor men took a super win on Monday evening at the O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny beating St Eunan’s 3-5 to 0-5 in a game played in terrible conditions. Oran Gallagher bagged himself two goals and Ciaran Cassidy netted the other. Dylan McFadden produced a masterclass in fielding kickouts while Nathan Grant and Michael Boyle were superb in the full back line.

Well done to our U12 boys who won their league opener against Glenswilly on Friday night.

Our U10 boys took part in a blitz at MacCumhaills on Saturday morning with lots of lovely football being played.

Ladies Board

Well done to the Termon girls,  Niamh Boner and Meave Brady who were involved with the county minor panel that secured a place in the Ulster Championship Platinum Final.

In recent underage girls fixtures, the U16 girls won at home last week against Moville. 

U14 girls will take part in the Letterkenny’s Gaels hosted Fiona Doherty Memorial Tournament starting on the 20th April.

The U15 feile team are through to all county finals with dates and venues to be confirmed.

There was a good turn out at the Mothers and Others last Friday evening, it continues this Friday 7-8pm, bring a friend for an hour of craic and exercise.

The ladies board would like to acknowledge the great support for our ladies and girls games.  The continued support is appreciated.

Club 300

The April draw for the Club 300 took place last Friday and the lucky winners were:€1,000 ~  Maeve Sweeney Gortnaskeagh Kilmacrennan. €500 ~ Nicola McCafferty, Drumbrick Termon. €300 ~ Patrick Gildea, Hairdressing, Letterkenny, €200~ Dairean Gibson, Trentagh. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone for supporting our clubhouse development, which is coming along very well at the moment.

Thanks

The club would like to thank Minister Charlie McConalogue for his continued support on the Clubhouse Development. Charlie was a welcomed visitor to the Burn Road last week when he met with the development committee who outlined the next phase of the build.

Defibrillator

The club Defibrillator has been installed at the entrance to the Burn Road pitch area. Thanks to O’Hara and Harrison Electrical for their continued support and to James People’s for installing.

Lotto

Lotto Results 14/4/2024 – No’s drawn  1, 17,26, 28. There was no winner of the €1650 Jackpot. There were three Match 3 €30 winners – Paddy McMenamin, Niall Mac E and Amanda Ferry. Donna Moore was the €10 Quick Pick winner.Next week’s Jackpot is €1700. Thank you for supporting our weekly Lotto.

Bingo

Termon Bingo held their charity bingo last Friday night in aid of the Relay for Life and our local Community First Responders group. A large crowd in the hall and online ensured this was a huge success. Joining us on the night was Donal Kavanagh of Highland Radio who mc’d the event and interviewed both charities. Many thanks to the Kernans Stores Group and especially Cathal Curran for their help selling, and of course to Kevin and all the staff in Gracies Stores. Bingo is back again this Friday night with €4500 in prizes on the night.
