The Termon senior ladies won a second trophy of the season by taking the Donegal LGFA Division 1 title on Sunday, beating Naomh Conaill 3-12 to 1-5 in Ballybofey. Ciara McGarvey kicked 0-8 while Jodie McFadden scored 2-1. Roisin Friel (1-1) scored the other goal with Niamh Bonner (0-1) and Nicole McLaughlin (0-1) also getting on the scoresheet. Another brilliant performance by our ladies. Following on from their Gaeltach success earlier in the season, the group will now go for a third trophy in the Senior Championship which starts in the coming weeks. The Junior Ladies Division 3 Final with Red Hughes was postponed at the weekend due to the weather and it will be re-scheduled for another date.
The Termon senior men ended their Division 2 league campaign with a 3-14 to 0-10 win at The Banks against Naomh Muire on Saturday evening. Ricky Gallagher got two goals while Oisin Harkin hit the third. The points came from Cian McMenamin 0-2, Jamie Grant 0-3, Bobby McGettigan 0-3, Jack Alcorn 0-2, Steve McElwaine 0-1 and Daire McDaid 0-1.The Intermediate Championship is next, starting mid August. Termon senior reserve men concluded a successful Division 2 league campaign with a 3-10 to 1-3 win over Naomh Muire at The Banks. Paul Mallons (2) and Patrick Fegan (1) scored the goals. Next up is the league final against Four Masters. They go to the final unbeaten with 12 wins from their 12 divisional games. Hugh Harkins side is the only team across the entire All County League to have won all of their games.
The thirds unfortunately lost out in the derby to neighbours Glenswilly on Sunday evening, it finished 2-10 to 1-5. Ben Harkin scored 1-1 in the game.
