Congratulations to John James Sweeney who lined out for the  Donegal minors in their Jim McGuigan Cup Final success in Maghera last Saturday. Well done to all involved.

Also good luck to Cian McMenamin and Cormac Gallagher with the Donegal Under20’s who play Derry in the semi final of the Ulster Championship next week.

Termon Minor side

The minor men beat Cloughaneely 5-9 to 1-9 in Monday evening at the Burn Road. Goals by Caolan Curran Odhran Gallagher and James Olson, a good overall team performance with all the forwards moving well.

Ryan Devine was brilliant with the kickouts and pulled off a  great save in second half.

Eoin Gallagher and Fionn Mc Grenra were solid in defence while Dylan Mc fadden had a good game in midfield.

They are away to Mac Cumhaills in Ballybofey next Monday.

The two senior men’s teams began their Division 2 league campaigns with wins over Fanad Gaels on Saturday at the Burn Road.

The senior’s had a 5.11 to 1.10 victory with the goals from Ryan McFadden, Mark Gallagher, Eoin Doherty and Daire McDaid (2).

The reserves also won comfortably over the Gaels. Patrick Fegan, Eoghan Quinn, and Paul Mallon with the goals in the 7:10 to 3 points win while Cormac Brady and Kieran Black also had good games.

Four Masters await both senior sides next weekend.

Unfortunately both ladies sides were on the wrong end of results.

The juniors lost at home to Malin 1-10 to 3-09. Roseleen Gallagher, Rocha McLaughlin and Kathrine Black impressed.

Aodh Rua emerged over the senior ladies 4-09 (21) to 2-11 (17) in a keenly contested tie on Sunday morning.

The fundamentals kicked into action last weekend with the u5, 6, 7, 8’s boys & girls having a wonderful day in the rain. They all seemed happy out, check out the photo’s on the Termon GAA Minor Board Facebook page. The coaches are doing a fantastic job with the stars of the future.

The U11’s and U13’s showed great skills in their games at Gaoth Dobhair and Glenswilly while the U15’s have two games this week away to Glenswilly and home to MacCumhaills.
The minor board appreciate the assistance of the senior players who help out with coaching on a weekly basis. It means alot to the young boys and girls.

The block work on the new clubhouse facility is continuing and thanks again to those who have given up their free time on Saturday’s. The job is on course for slabs after Easter. Its hoped the work will be completed by April. 2024.
