The Termon U21 men and U23 ladies put in two brilliant performances at the weekend progressing in their respective championships.
The U21 men went to Donegal Town and beat hosts Four Masters 1-10 to 2-4 in the A Championship quarter final. It was an impressive display against a side that were seen as title contenders. Man of the Match Jack Alcorn chipped in with 0-3 while Bobby McGettigan’s good form continued with 0-5. Mark Gallagher scored the goal and Oisin Harkin and Patrick Fegan also scored. Steve McElwaine’s side will now face a highly fancied Glenswilly team in the semi final this Sunday 10th December at the O’Donnell Park, throw in 2pm.
The club’s U23 ladies will contest the Donegal LGFA Gold Final against Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon.They were flawless in their comprehensive win over Naomh Columba on Sunday in cold conditions.Shannon McLaughlin, Siobhan Cameron, Jodie McFadden, Áine Gallagher and Orla Corry bagged goals while Chelsea Gorman, Aibhe McDaid, Jenny and Jill McGettigan, Ríoghnach Giles, Ella McGettigan, Lauren Gallagher and Sophie Curran all put in massive shifts.
The club would like to send best wishes to Nicole McLaughlin and Paul ‘Smiley’ McDaid on their wedding day this weekend. Another big day for the parish.
The rescheduled Annual General Meeting will be held this Sunday 10th December at 7pm in the Craoibhin. All members are welcome to attend.
