Ladies Board
The senior ladies are looking forward to the May Bank Holiday weekend, with a trip to Cloughaneely to take on Naomh Conall in the county Gaeltacht final. That game will be played next Monday 6th May at 12.30pm.
The senior ladies had a comfortable 6-13 to 1-12 win on Sunday at Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon. Geraldine McLaughlin, Sophie Curran, Ciara McGarvey, Roisin Friel and Emer Gallagher Friel all took impressive scores. Great to see Jamie Lee Murray back on the pitch after a lengthy injury.
Mothers & Others continues Friday evening at the pitch, 7 – 8pm, don’t forget to bring a friend.
Senior Men
Both senior men teams took victories on Saturday at home to Cloughaneely. The reserves started the evening with a 4-13 to 1-3 win. Ciaran Cassidy and Caolan Curran got the goals. Paul Mallon, Anthony Grant and Steve McElwaine impressed on the day. The senior’s also won, taking a fourth win in their Division 2 campaign. Goals from Mark Gallagher and Cian McMenamin helped steer them to a 2-18 to 1-12 victory. Enda McCormick, Bobby McGettigan, Conor Black, Ryan McFadden, John James Sweeney, Jamie Grant, Jack Alcorn and Ricky Gallagher all got on the scoresheet.
County Players
Well done to Ronan Cunningham, Ciaran Conaghan and Fionn McGrenra who lined out for Donegal U16s against Sligo at the weekend.
The county minor girls which included Termon’s Siobhan Cameron, Niamh Boner and Maeve Brady, concluded their season at the weekend in the Ulster LGFA Minor Championship Platinum Final, which was won by a stronger Cavan team.
Also at the weekend, the county U16’s, which includes Termon’s Cayla McFadden, were in action in the Ulster Silver Championship Semi Final. The Donegal girls came out on top against Derry in Faughanvale and their Ulster journey continues.
Minor Board
The U16 boys had a super win on Monday evening at Maghergallon beating hosts Gaoth Dobhair 0-14 to 1-10.
The U16 girls travelled to a stronger Moville team last week, although they battled hard and put in an excellent performance, it was not to be their day.
The 14 girls play Glenfin this coming Thursday evening, a rescheduled game in the Fiona Doherty Memorial Tournament. ( check socials for throw in time and updates).
The 12 girls had a home game against Fanad on Saturday afternoon, with some great skill and progress on show.
The academy teams are also out and training weekly, with new players always welcome. Details available on the Facebook pages.
Healthy Club
The club is proud to announce that it is now, in conjunction with the GAA, Irish life and Healthy Ireland, a healthy club. Keep an eye out for more details soon. This is an exciting initiative, and we hope to be able to cater for all in the community in the coming months.
Donegal Tickets
